Airfield liability insurance

Anyone who operates or maintains officially approved air strips and runways, or ones that do not require approval, is obliged to take out statutory liability insurance.

This insurance protects the operator against claims for compensation and includes the personal liability of the air traffic controller and winch operator on duty.

Even the appointed and officially confirmed technical staff are covered if they are sued privately for damages by a third party.
